The Zambia Flying Doctor Service -ZFDS- has started evacuating patients who survived the Mkushi accident which claimed 32.
Zambia Flying Doctor Service has so far evacuated two patients that were in critical condition from Mkushi General Hospital to the University Teaching hospital in Lusaka.
Zambia Flying Doctor Service Medical Doctor BRIDGET ZULU says the two patients were prioritized for the evacuation because they suffered severe head injuries and required further attention at UTH.
Speaking after the first evacuation, Dr. ZULU said the service is evacuating 7 patients with the next evacuation of two soon to be conducted.
She said the last 3 patients will be evacuated later in the day from Mkushi.
