Following a bank robbery attempt that left armed robbers trapped inside a branch of firstbank In Abuja while security operatives blocked the entrance

The armed robbers who stormed into the first bank mpape, Abuja branch on Saturday (28th of December) shooting sporadically were unable to leave after security operatives surrounded the premises

One of the robbers, in an attempt to force his way out was shot by the security operatives while four others were arrested

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

He stated, “It is a foiled bank robbery; We stopped the robbers from raiding the bank. Four men were arrested while a suspect was killed.

“Investigation has commenced to determine how they entered the bank”.

He also confirmed that one of those arrested was a staff of the bank acting as an insider for the robbers
